EQED Pty Ltd ACN 648 716 563, trading as hovr, is an Australian company based in Pyrmont, New South Wales. We operate the hovr iOS app, a property valuation and tracking application, and the website at https://hovr.com.au.

2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for us to provide the hovr service. The types of information we collect include:

2.1 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect raw credit card or bank account numbers. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
3. How We Use Your Information
We collect and use your personal information only for purposes that are permitted under the Australian Privacy Principles. Specifically, we use your information to:
- Provide and operate the service — create and manage your account, process subscriptions, and deliver property valuations and related features;
- Generate valuations — send property address data to third-party data providers (PropTrack, Domain API) and AI models to produce valuation estimates;
- Track mortgage and equity data — display your mortgage, LVR, and equity information within the app based on data you provide;
- Send push notifications — notify you of completed valuations, subscription updates, and important account information via Apple Push Notification service (APNs);
- Authenticate your identity — verify your identity via email/password or Sign in with Apple;
- Improve our services — analyse usage patterns and errors to improve the app experience (using anonymised or aggregated data where possible);
- Communicate with you — respond to support requests and send service-related emails;
- Comply with legal obligations — meet our obligations under applicable Australian laws; and
- Prevent fraud and ensure security — detect and address technical issues and security threats.
We will not use your personal information for direct marketing unless you have consented, and you may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
We may disclose your personal information to third parties where necessary to provide our services. We only share the minimum information required for each purpose.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not disclose your personal information for third-party direct marketing purposes without your consent.
5. Overseas Disclosure
We store and process your data in Australia where practicable. However, some of the third-party services listed above (including AI providers and Google Maps) operate servers located overseas, including in the United States. Where we disclose personal information to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure those recipients handle your information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
By using hovr, you consent to your property address data being sent to overseas AI and data providers for the purpose of generating valuations. No identity or financial data (such as your name, mortgage details, or payment information) is sent to AI providers.
6. Australian Privacy Principles Compliance
We handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), including:
- APP 1 — Open and transparent management: We manage personal information openly and make this policy publicly available.
- APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information: We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our functions.
- APP 5 — Notification of collection: We notify you of the purpose of collection at or before the time of collection.
- APP 6 — Use and disclosure: We only use or disclose personal information for the purpose for which it was collected, or as otherwise permitted by law.
- APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure: We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients comply with privacy requirements.
- APP 11 — Security: We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access.
- APP 12 — Access to personal information: You have the right to access your personal information.
- APP 13 — Correction of personal information: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate information.
7. Data Storage and Security
We take your data security seriously. Our security measures include:
- encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest;
- access controls ensuring only authorised personnel can access your data;
- regular review of security practices; and
- secure deletion of data when it is no longer required.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter, or as required to comply with legal obligations (generally a minimum of 7 years for financial records). When personal information is no longer required, it is securely destroyed or de-identified.
While we implement strong security practices, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act, including notifying you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request that we correct any inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date personal information we hold about you.
- Deletion: You may request that we delete your account and associated personal information. We will comply unless we are required to retain the information by law.
- Restriction: You may request that we restrict certain processing of your personal information in limited circumstances.
- Opt out of marketing: You may opt out of direct marketing communications at any time.

You may also delete property data and other information directly within the hovr app.
9. Push Notifications
hovr uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to send you notifications about completed valuations, subscription renewals, and other service-related updates. To send notifications, we store your device push notification token.
You can enable or disable push notifications at any time via Settings > Notifications > hovr on your iOS device. Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use the app.
10. Cookies and Website Tracking
This section applies to visitors of our website at hovr.com.au, not to the iOS app.
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience and analyse website traffic. A cookie is a small file placed on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies: necessary for the website to function (e.g., session management);
- Analytics cookies: to understand how visitors use our website (e.g., Google Analytics).

hovr is not directed at children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the app or provide any personal information to us.

12. Sign in with Apple
If you choose to use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide us with your name and email address (or an Apple-generated relay email address) to create your account. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We only use the information provided by Apple to create and manage your hovr account.
